The entire frontage was to be rebuilt as part of the scheme which aimed to protect against flooding risk, renew the river frontage and remediate the contaminants resulting from the old Gas Works site.

Environ 3 300 t de rideau mixte HZ 1180M A-24 / AZ 18-700 (S 430 GP) en longueurs de 27.3 m et 17.0 - 23.3 m ont été utilisées. Le nouveau mur de quai de 270 m de long a été installé devant un quai existant en palplanches acier qui a été partiellement démoli. Les profiés HZ-M ont été battus à l'aide d'un marteau hydraulique jusque au niveau de la couche de grès très compact.
